But, there's good news!

...And work over at the toy store isn't easy either. Oi gevault, I'm so glad I have Sunday off. @_@

Anywhoo, onto the progress.

Yup, still been painting the three of 'em. Work has been making me its bitch for the time being, so I haven't had as much time... But, oh well! I HAVE made progress.

Yup, three more figurines are out of the oven and ready to be painted! But first...


BTW, that piece of clay behind him is a pre-baked "support piece" so that they don't fall over in the oven.

First of all, here's the lil' fella all polished up and photographed!



Plus, he's been marked with my signature. Under his foot, there's a red pawprint with an "S" in purple.


He's also been finished up with a length of waxed nylon string, so he can be used as a cell phone strap, keyholder, etc.


Then, to go with that class project I mentioned earlier, I bought myself one of those Pokemon chibis out of the machines for the capsule (I wanted Chimchar, but I got Piplup. Dang.) so I can see how it'll fit in.

Well, it'd only be fitting to start off with the porcupine-head himself! I spent more time taking photos of his painting rather than his construction, though - since it was my first time attempting a "smaller" style than my traditional "sitting" figurines (See my DeviantART account for more info), I was undergoing a lot of trial-and-error for it that would probably take me about a thousand photos to document. Nevertheless, here we go!

This actually took place over a period of two days, since my compy had crashed at that time. He'll probably be ready by tomorrow, after I apply the second coat.

So, I was sitting in my Creative Analysis class, and the prof was detailing his upcoming plan for us to undergo a "toymaking" project very soon. He then proceeded to show us some of the work of a friend of his, who actually has some of his stuff in those little coin-operated toy machines (Like the gumball ones) in Japan.

Then it hit me, like taking "The Thinker" over the noggin.

Instead of the larger, chunkier "sitting" chibis that I usually do, I'm going to go for a tinier style that could probably fit into those capsules. So, I do this project AND have something for my CA class. Two birds, baby. Two birds.

Soooo, yeah. I'mma start on some new fellers now.

Plus, I'll be getting my Mac back from the shop tonight instead of using this piddly old library computer. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! ^____^

Place is gonna need some wallpaper, maybe a few shelves...I think the sofa would look nice over there.

Yeah. At least I got the domain down. I just need to finish a few non-AA commissions and I can begin. JOY!

If anyone here can make me a sweet wallpaper that has to do with AA and...clay artsy stuff...And maybe a fox, I'll give you first pick of character.
